Our Centre Philosophy
(approved December 2005)
-
The caregiver/educator will be friendly, caring, sensitive, flexible and have a keen sense of humour.
-
To provide a friendly environment, where, through positive interactions, children feel safe and secure.
-
To provide an environment that portrays children as active, eager learners who have interesting ideas and valuable contributions to make. As children learn through direct experiences, we will offer opportunities for this.
-
To provide opportunities for children, families and staff to be involved in the decision-making process both by, gathering valuable information from families and using a variety of observational methods that allows an individual story of each child to develop.
-
To provide a responsive environment in which each child will develop their social, emotional, physical, language, intellectual and aesthetic skills thus becoming confident individuals with a high sense of self and a positive view of the world around them.
-
To foster children’s creativity and self-expression through art, language, music and many more experiences, with the emphasis on the process and not the end result.
