Bauer Street Community Children's Centre was established in 1976 and has maintained quality care and education in the Southport community for over 30 years.
Bauer Street has established a tradition of quality care that has been built on the professionalism and dedication of its staff and the ability to maintain the highest standard of care and education while providing a family like environment where children and families feel comfortable and secure.
AIMS AND GOALS
T o provide an environment that promotes friendly, supportive and trusting relationships between staff, families, children and management.
T o recognise the unique qualities of each child and to work in partnership with families to provide a welcoming environment that caters for the individual needs, interests and abilities of the child.
T o provide continuity of care and foster a child's self-esteem, security and well-being.
T o provide an environment where children have the confidence to develop into interested, creative and active learners.
T o provide a program that is based on our knowledge of how children develop and learn, and incorporates the individual needs and interests of children.
T o provide a program that is stimulating and that encompasses all areas of children's development.
T o acknowledge the interests and skills of the staff, the children and their families and to ensure that these are utilised in our program.
